ADAM H. RUSSCHER

Adam H. Russcher studied metalsmithing for the last 6 years in Vancouver, Nelson, California, and Mexico; mostly focusing on hand picked, short courses in blacksmithing, jewelery design, and silversmithing.

His experience volunteering for 2 years, welding and fabricating large bronze statues at a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery has added a depth to his creative drive and opened a deeper love for making metal move and dance.

The simple yet intricate designs in nature inspire and guide his work constantly. Most of his work is an eclectic mix of recycled and scrap materials.

For Adam, direct shaping and forming of metal closely relates to the process of meditation, taking unrefined, rough material and with skill and patience move forward bringing out an evermore finer and subtle finish. He feels it is very much an evolution of beauty and is blessed that he can share this with others.
